Home / Hollow Rotary Tables
Through-hole cam indexing tables, ±5 arc-sec repeatability, 137 to 2500 N·m tilt moment.
Also called hollow rotary actuators, through-hole rotary tables or hollow rotary platforms — the same machines, under the names different suppliers print on them.

Passing something through the axis of rotation — cabling, a shaft, a vacuum or air line, a laser path, or an optical train — without it winding up as the table turns. That through bore is the whole reason to choose this over a solid rotary stage, and it is why these are also sold as hollow rotary actuators or through-hole rotary tables.
Because they differ by about an order of magnitude and printing both in the same unit hides that. Indexing accuracy — how close the table gets to a commanded position — is published here as ± 0.5 arc-min. Repeatability, how closely it returns to a position it has already reached, is ± 5 arc-sec. Sixty arc-seconds make an arc-minute, so the two figures are not interchangeable.
How far off-centre, and how heavy, a load can be before the bearing is overloaded — published per model in newton-metres, from 137 to 2500 across the series. A light part on a long arm can exceed it while a heavy part mounted close to the axis does not, so it is the figure to check for anything that does not sit over the centre.
Every figure on these pages is marked with where it comes from: the supplied published catalogue, a value normalised from that source, or a field absent from the source. Nothing is filled in with a zero.
